November 19, 2021 was the 80th anniversary of Australia's greatest Naval tragedy: the loss of HMAS Sydney. Nigel Rogers, President of the Naval Historical Society of Australia – WA Chapter, will speak about the history of HMAS Sydney. He will cover its construction, service with the Royal Australian Navy and eventual loss off the coast of
Geraldton after engaging in a battle with the German Raider Kormoran in 1941.
