When Lorraine Horsley isn’t organising events around Melville she is a tutor at Curtin University teaching in their university preparation course.

Lorraine has taught hundreds of students and each semester sees many of those students crippled by fear of failure and imposter syndrome.
Wanting to make things better, she put pen to paper and the result is a cheery little yellow book that offers tips and encouragement to those embarking upon their higher education journeys.

Lorraine will be in-conversation with Dr Tim McDonald and she’d love you to come along and be part of the book launch.

About the Book:
You’ve Got This – Tips for the uncertain student
(Publisher: Dixi Books)

Want to go onto higher education but you’re afraid of failing? Keen to enrol but just don’t believe you’re smart enough? Then this book has been written just for you.

Author Lorraine Horsley is a tutor at an Australian university and has helped hundreds of students to kick-start their higher education journeys and to overcome their fear of failure.

Throughout the book, Lorraine draws on her own experiences and challenges you to assess why you are so afraid and how you can succeed despite the fear.

There are many books out there that teach you how to study. This book isn’t one of them. This book will help you to be brave enough to start studying in the first place.
