 Join military enthusiast Richard Johnston for a talk that includes both the prelude to the Battle of Pozières and the actual engagement itself.
Exposing the First Australian Imperial Force to its first major conflict on the Western Front, the Battle epitomises the ineptitude and waste of human life so characteristic of the War in general.
There will also be tips on how to research military ancestors of both World Wars.
