 Love Japanese comics and cartoons? Want to draw in this unique style, but not sure where to start? Then this fun, instructional workshop is perfect for you! Sketch along with illustrator Tsunami Hee Ja as she walks you step by step through the basics of creating your own manga character. Learn how to draw faces, capture emotions, and add the extra details that will make your character pop.
Tsunami Hee Ja is a neurodivergent freelance artist and illustrator living and working on Kaurna land. She is best known for her anime and manga style artwork which has appeared in various exhibitions across Adelaide as well as several solo shows, and features in the advertising and mural design of a prominent anime business in the CBD. Her artistic career spans two decades during which she has worked on jobs ranging from flight patches to phonics book illustrations, constantly kept on her toes by a diverse range of client briefs.
