Is the move from fossil fuels a simple matter of investing in more renewables or is a deeper change needed that means altering our way of life? In this talk Professor Hopeward will explore the supply and demand of our natural resources and the concept of limits to growth. He will share realistic, evidence-based solutions to these challenging and complex problems.
Library: City LibraryDr James Hopeward is an Associate Professor at University of South Australia with a background in civil engineering and environmental science. His research involves studying big-picture sustainability problems such as the limits to the planet’s energy supplies, climate change and economic growth. He is a founding member of the Wellbeing Economy Alliance and coordinates hydraulics and environmental modelling courses at the University of South Australia.
